¡Hola!
I’m Elizabeth Pinkerton — ICF-certified coach, relocation strategist, and founder of Vida Nova Abroad. I work with midlife professionals who are thinking about moving to Spain — or already planning it — and want expert, thoughtful support through the process.
Whether you’re dreaming about a different pace of life, taking advantage of remote work, or planning your retirement abroad, I help you move with intention, not just logistics.
My Story
After thirty years in the San Francisco Bay Area, I moved to Barcelona in early 2023. Moving abroad was a massive undertaking. There were visa complexities, financial logistics, cultural curveballs — and plenty of unexpected moments of doubt. It was exciting, yes. But also disorienting at times.
That’s why I created Vida Nova Abroad: to offer the kind of support I wish I’d had.
Moving abroad isn’t just about paperwork and logistics (though I can absolutely help with those). It’s about navigating one of life’s biggest transitions with clarity, confidence, and care — so you land in Spain feeling empowered, not overwhelmed.
What I bring:
Before launching Vida Nova Abroad, I spent over 25 years guiding individuals and teams through change and transformation. I started my career as a consultant at Deloitte, held leadership roles at Intuit and several Silicon Valley startups, and founded and operated a small business. I hold an MBA from Stanford, a BA from Wellesley, and the CPCC coaching certification from the Co-Active Training Institute (ICF-accredited).
What does all of this mean for you? I know how to break down complexity, build a plan, and coach people through the messy middle.
Whether you’re just starting to imagine your life in Spain, actively preparing to move, or newly arrived and adjusting to a different rhythm — I’m here to help you make that transition with intention.
Guidance Backed by a Network You Can Rely On
I know firsthand the difference it makes to have the right people on your side.
When you work with me, you also gain access to a carefully curated network of trusted professionals who know the ins and outs of moving to Spain from the U.S. My network includes immigration attorneys, cross-border tax and financial advisors, language coaches, and reliable local service providers.
Depending on where you are in your journey, I’ll connect you with appropriate vetted experts and local partners who can help you navigate the legal, financial, cultural, and everyday practical aspects of your move with confidence.
